ISDN
64/128kbps
ISDN stands for Integrated Services Digital Network that
allows data to be transmitted simultaneously across the
world using end-to-end digital connectivity.
There are two basic types of ISDN services: Basic Rate
Interface (BRI) and Primary Rate Interface (PRI).
What do you need to have an ISDN?
An ISDN line from Pakistan Telecommunication Company
Limited (PTCL), that would approximately cost you Rs.
4,000/- for setup, with monthly charges similar to
thatof a normal telephone line
One Terminal Adapter (TA) to serve the purpose of a
Modem that will connect you to the ISDN channel from
eWorld.
One ISDN connection from eWorld Internet Services. You
may acquire a 64-K channel or a 128-K channel depending
upon your requirement
How much time does an ISDN take?
Keeping the time required for the installation of ISDN
line from PTCL (which would be around 1 month), eWorld
would configure your ISDN in one day!
What benefits do you get with an
ISDN?
ISDN allows multiple devices to share a single line. It
is possible to combine many different digital data
sources and have the information routed to the proper
destination. Since the line is digital, it is easier to
keep the noise and interference out while combining
these signals. ISDN technically refers to a specific set
of digital services provided through a single, standard
interface.
An ISDN connection for Internet provides you faster
download and upload with reduced noise as compared to
ordinary telephone lines.
Voice Communication, Video Conferencing, Net-Meeting and
similar other Internet-related applications are
experienced in a better way through an ISDN connection.
You can now convert your existing telephone line to ISDN
for only Rs. 675/-.To find out PTCL rates, click the
